Official NBA 2k13 Thread

With release day approaching, use this thread to talk about previews, screenshot and leaked gameplay impressions, the demo once it comes out, if you're planning on pre-ordering it, etc.

Personally I think the 3 player cover is wack. Kinda makes me not wanna get the game. lol

I think DRose shouldn't be on the cover since he is coming from an injury and limping out of the clubs tipsy....

But w/e will buy it of course, would love to play with yall in a lg or crew...

I'll probably preorder it since they are holding us hostage with the all-star weekend stuff in a DLC. I'll get Live 13 through Gamefly.

I kind of hope they bring leagues/tournaments back in addition to a revamped OA. I definitely want crews back, even as a DLC if necessary.

I like how these 3 fucks are my most disliked NBA players. Might as well throw in Wade staring down KG after a dunk in the background

I've never liked having multiple players on the cover. Just pick 1 and stick with it. Rose and Blake have no business being on a cover. Rose will likely be out until next January and Blake's shooting range is 7 feet.

Or like Leroy said, have Shane Battier flopping/taking a charge as the damn cover. Or Mike Miller hunched over.

They shoulda used Stern as a cover

^that would be better than the current cover. Have Stern smiling, holding a lotto ball with the NOLA logo on it and a faded shot of him shaking hands with Anthony Davis in the top backround. Maybe another faded shot on the bottom showing him shake hands or whisper something in the ear of the new Hornets owner.

I'm still don't believe 100% that Live is coming in October, or at all. There's almost nothing out about the game other than a negative preview article and 5 screens. That doesnt seem like a way to come back after 3 years and with the other game winning SGOTY or whatevs. EAS is known as a hype machine, can't believe that there's not any buzz about Live.

Regarding 2K, OA will probably suck and there will be a need of an 15 page rulebook to avoid last year.

I'm with you Hrvoje. The lack of info regarding Live 13 is very alarming. We're getting into the middle of July now. The game will be out in 2.5 months. 2k13 info has been lacking too but they aren't bringing a franchise back from the dead like EA is. A lot of people probably don't realize NBA Live is coming back IMO. You would think they would be releasing info and advertising for it at a steady rate, to the point of almost over doing it.

Not time for panic yet but we're approaching that stage.

I was thinking about teams the other day. There's so many intriguing options I'd like to use.

-Miami, just to be a douche and ruin them. Every time I score I'll make my guy jump and celebrate.
-Boston, just to be a fan boy and be with KG.
-Dallas, cap space and Dirk to build around still.
-Utah, I like that team, plus good trade pieces and young roster.
-Houston, they could have D12 and Lin, who knows.

I'll get wizards of course. The only good thing about 2k: every team is good and will be good no matter what. We should wait until teams finish their offseason acquisitions imo. I'll prob be interested in whatever team TMac ends up in

Ever time I log on and I see Crax on I always check to see if his status message has changed. When he's on yellow status and it says "don't bother" it's so intimidating.

I gotta take a crappy team. I forgot how much I hate the pressure of using a good team. Expectations on a video game ftl. I prefer to use a crapper and hang below the radar. The crappy team needs either reasonable outside shooting or one inside guy to abuse against the cheap cpu though.

Ante will regret taking NOLA. They won't have anything at PG to save him. Austin Rivers lol. Better use the Clippers brah.
