I'm gonna have to agree with Goldy on this one. Hip hop died a long time ago.

Of course Leroy and Ante would like this kind of music because they're both born in the 90s. They grew up in an era where Lil Wayne, Drake, J.Cole, and Soulja Boy is what defines hip-hop.

That's why I dont really listen to rap anymore.

I love old school Nas, DMX, Wu Tang Clan, Fugees, Lauryn Hill, I hate Wayne, Soulja and Drake so don't judge me if you don't know what I'm about...Internet can give u info on ol' times, but i started listening to pac and fugees and the rest of the old timers like Rakim, Dmx, Nas, Wu tang at a very young age, like 7 and started understanding their meaning at 14-15...Although my first album was Strictly for my Niggaz from Pac and Dr Dre Snoop the 2001 album...See you dont listen to rap anymore because all you hear is wayne and that BS of rap like 2Chainz, you gotta hear Black Hippy, Hopsin, JCole, Lamar, their albums are pretty dope and deep, tells you about life and corruption in the world, like Pac said he couldn't change the world, but would inspire somebody else to do it, and these deep emotional guys are doing it...

Wayne and Kanye are the 2 best rappers of all time cause of the work each one has put in. NO ONE has released more music than Wayne ever, whether you think it's good or whatever you think is good is 100% subjective. Every single album kanye has dropped has been a CLASSIC. both artist have their songs with positive messages and their party songs.

Drake & cole are also amazing artists don't know why people hate them. I don't get it lol. Soulja boy is a troll so ignore him lol

Van Gundy loves making outrageous statements. I remember him saying the Heat would win 72+ games the first year of their big 3. I do enjoy his flopping rants but the Bulls will make the damn playoffs. It would be lovely if Rose would come back at some point during the regular season since Boozer is about 68 overall without a dynamic PG like DWill or DRose but they have enough talent to get wins in the East.

I listened to that too, all of it, except the Smiths...I don't listen to rap only, can't listen to one genre...

- I study hip hop, I can tell you exactly why anyone is good or bad
- hip hop was made purely as a show of how well you can create a rhyme scheme and how well you can put them together
- Wayne and most mainstream successes (jay z, kanye etc) are popular because they created their own styles of hip hop
- Wayne has made the most of this, therefore he's the best and most consistent

To continue the trend of this thread, I will now post some NBA news along with the music chatter. And I'm not buying that Doc Rivers is taking the blame for Ray leaving. Ray left because the team moved on without him. Signing Terry and grooming Bradley to be the future. Ray could see the writing on the wall. Whether he liked Rondo was irrelevant IMO. If Ray felt wanted he would have come back.
