Thoughts on 2k11 Demo

I thought it was OK. Pretty basic demo so it's tough to get a great idea about the game. I like how passing is more difficult. They could probably tone that down a little bit but they stole that from Live. I do like how you can't pass through 4 guys anymore.

It seems a lot tougher to penetrate to the hoop. Part of that could be using the Lakers and they don't really have anyone besides Kobe who can break you down like that.

The player movement felt very Live 10. Mike Wang has his finger prints all over this. I thought the presentation and graphics looked improved. I wish you could've seen more features in the demo but whatever.

oh shoot...we posted at the same time...ill delete mine.

anyway, i was surprised to see the demo out so early. unlike last year, i think the demo came out the same week as the game dropped for ps3.

IMO the graphic a little better but the player movements looks like NBA Live. They move like robots. It's not as smooth as 2k10.

i'm fine with movement, passing is good, defenders are very alert if you get lazy, i mean, its very stripped down demo, i have a feeling my player will be much more difficult this time around

I for one am very confused after looking at the game... The letters on the back of the jersey looked like it was size 2 font, the ball was shiny and you couldn't walk the ball up court without looking like you got fucked in the ass... still will buy this game day 1

Defense seems like it might be really hard depending on how the new plays work. I didn't feel like I was in complete control on defense on the demo against a base offense.

I might have to spend hours with Jeebs learning D again on this game. I really wish you could use the Celtics. Nothing against LA but it gets boring having Kobe torch Ray Ray or Pau hitting midrange jumpers all game. Bynum seems worthless, except on the glass so 2k definitely got that right.

Not quite as shiny as Live 10. Dwight Howard and DWade are practically white on that game, especially in the opening sequence of the game when they're all in the gym shooting around and LeBron walks in.

The demo was good, the gameplay is awesome, dribblings and no can animations thank you Mike Wang, but no Celtics, rly 2k?

Looking forward for the release date...

On ball D is with L2 again so no problems, I can play it good, IMO defense in the paint and passing is vastly improved, the bigs can really block shots and put bodys and contacts anywhere...

I wont even try to DL the demo. Usually I end up downloading the demo for an hour, then play it for 30 minutes, and delete it. Im not really attracted to play as Lakers or that I care to try a stripped down version of a stripped down demo.
IMO an insight about association > demo

I played it like 8-9 times by now. I'm bored on PS3 these days. It's either play the demo or play MW2 for the 307th time. I got desperate and played bfbc2 the other day and kept getting owned by twats.

Yea I don't see how people keep playing it over and over. Not having 2 players really killed it for me. I usually play it a lot more. But thats how boring it is.
