Officially thrown in the towel, after losing 6 in a row, and 4 of last 6 sim games it's time to either let the games sim as there are several teams left to play who I never saw online. In other matchups stat padding is the name of the game.
24-20 R.I.P. City
Season 12-13 is questionable.

Time to move on
With the conclusion of 2011-2012 season it's time to retire the Portland Trail-Blazers #RoseCity blog and move on to new things. For the new season you all will be following the newly rebranded #TrailBlazing blog.
There's not much to add at this point mostly as I have no idea how the offseason will work out and/or is it glitched beyond ridiculous or not. So probably the best thing will be to wait out the playoffs to end. We had a decent run with numerous sim games, so I would take a moment to thank @CPU_Blazers for their involvement this season.
Some things seem certain already, even without the offseason started: - Gilbert Arenas isn't expected to return for next season - Ray Felton probably will test FA, and the word around Blazers management is that no one would mind see him go - Gerald Wallace is expected to exercise his player option and return for another year - Greg Oden, Nic Batum & OJ Mayo will get their qualifying offers - The team has zero interest in this years draft as they have only a 2nd round pick - Nolan Smith is gonna work throughout the Summer with team staff to improve his game and step up in a much bigger role next season
For more info stay tuned. #RipCity

Promotional Consideration Paid For By The Following
College Hoops 2K8, the #1 selling college basketball game last year and the #1 rated college basketball game five years running, returns to the Xbox 360™, PLAYSTATION®3 and PlayStation®2. This year's game gets the deepest feature enhancements in the history of the franchise and is sure to be a contender to repeat as what Operation Sports crowned "Basketball Game of the Year" for 2006.
Thanks.

What is Greg Oden's qualifying offer worth?
smh @ people continuing to give him money for nothing.
Gilbert Arenas might return to Portland IMO. Felton is done.

Maybe around 8 million? At the end it will be a 10 mil contract and it will fit my Oden+Guard for Bogut+terrible contract offer. Batum has a 3 mil qualifying offer. He's worth at least 2-3 times more.

Oh I see...it's a signing to set the table for another move.
I'm going to try to make a "big" move myself. Bogut to Portland would be amazing though. Perfect fit.

Oden will be like 75-76 in season 2, so he won't be a total waste of space while on floor. Add the +1/+2 chemistry and he's quite good IMO.

How do you plan to make the trade happen? Oden and someone else pretty good for Bogut and a complete scrub? With Oden's ratings you might not have to give up much.

I have 22 mil. to try and get an somewhat decent player and one in the range of Shannon Brown (MIP player in OA) and trade him away, or Wes Matthews or someone else. Maybe Felton if I do resign him for sign&trade purposes.

You'd love to ship Wes Matthews and his contract away.

No I wouldn't, he's a great player. Shot like 47% 3's in OA. And I kept him as a starter even though Batum and Mayo were on the bench. But if I had to give him up with Oden, ok I guess...
I have my eyes on Mike Conley as well.

Mike Conley would be a great pick up for you, finally a pg who can shoot and his mid range is money...

Blazers are going 30 mil over the salary cap after this offseason anyways.
Batum, Mayo, Wallace, Aldridge, Oden are all gonna be over 10 mil. And Matthews is like 6, Camby 1.5, Nolan Smith on rookie scale, and Scal is gonna be on full MLE.
Conley is like CP3 in comp. to Felton. The fgt cost me a controller in the game against Ante. I don't see how a guy with 80 3pt rating can shoot an airball on a uncontested 3.

^He was tired...out of shape, etc.
If Felton is seeking more than 4 mil per yr this summer he's full of shit.
Nolan Smith is ready to start next year anyway. Maybe you could bring Arenas back if you could get him for under 2 mil per. Arenas would be good trade bait too.

Felton demands 6.7 mil for 1st yr of a 3yr deal, I think that can be lowered to 5mil if I add a player option. Arenas has a great rating and still is able to play a decent role, its just that I dont want to hold Nolan Smith down anymore.

He was straightforward to the basket and the ball went a foot left and just grzed the bottom of the backboard. Much like this only on opposite side.

After a somewhat successful 2011-12 season, it was time time to start fresh and try to work on the roster for the upcoming season. First came the NBA draft where we had only a 2nd round pick, and the drafted player was not signed because of the intention to leave him a few more seasons in Europe before he eventually comes to the States. Then followed a disastrous Summer free agency where Blazers were cheapshot from all sides and our friends from yesterday showed their real colors. #WeMissGerald
All three guys with qualifying came back, and free agent Brian Scalabrine joined the team as well. Felton and Arenas resigned. Unfortunately the offseason is terribly constructed in the new CBA so we weren't able to trade anyone and had to wait for the real season to start to make deals. First deal included Portland's least favorite son, Ray Felton along with the player drafted in front of Durant, Greg Oden going to Milwaukee and center Andrew Bogut and forward Darington coming in return. Second deal (per new CBA that allowed 4 players to be traded) saw little used guard Gilbert Arenas and swingman Wes Matthews go to Charlotte in exchange for guard D.J. Augustin and veteran stopper Keith Bogans. Blazers also signed veteran Center Francisco Elson on a 10 day contract.
On the court the season wasn't anywhere good as the last one. First the sim engine has failed Blazers, as the sim record is 0-5 at this moment with losses to , , , and . Take in mind that Portland is ranked among top 5 per team ratings. Played games record is 2-5, not actually that terrible as most games were played while the roster was being reconstructed. Wins over and , while losses came against , , , and the infamous Hail Mary team of Memphis . Three of those 5 games were lost by 1 possession, so with a bit of luck it could've looked completely opposite than it does now.
Portland is currently last in the Western Conference (and probably in the whole league), with 2-10 record.
(In meantime Marcus Camby accepted a new 1 year contract extension, and Brian Scalabrine was granted his wish and waived so he can go back to Italy and play some big minutes late into his career.)
That's it for the first news-feed of the new season. #RipCity
