Portland Trail Blazers have sent Jamal Crawford and a future 1st round pick draft pick (2012) to Memphis, in return for O.J. Mayo. Here's the report:
He was obviously very sleepy during that practice. Blazers are currently 4-4, holding the 7th spot in West.

After 2 more wins over Cleveland & Detroit, the Blazers are currently 6th in the West with a 9-5 record. Blazers have won 5 of their last 6 games, and look confident towards next games, a rematch with Boston, and first meeting with Atlanta and Chicago.
Most notable player over those last 2 wins was forward LaMarcus Aldridge who had 28 points and 9 rebounds vs CLE, and 32 points (including a 3-pointer), 4 rebounds and 5 assists vs DET.
These recent great games haven't gone unnoticed, and there are more and more tweets and thanks towards @CPU_Nate from fans. Here's just one of them...

After 2 consecutive losses vs. Bucks and Hawks, it's time for a quick reality check and the Coach knows it:
ESPN insider @ISBA_Bryan reports that teams plan is to make it somehow to the AllStar break with a close to .500 record and then rise back towards playoff spots. Regarding possible new trades he reports is that Blazers are resolute to not make any new move 'til the end of the season, as they pride themselves in being a serious franchise and not some flip-flopping Mickey Mouse organization.
It's being reported that the team has opened contract extension talks with combo-guard O.J. Mayo (24).
There were conflicting reports from other insiders that Blazers might wait until off-season to resign Mayo, but this version seems more believable as ESPN's @ISBA_Bryan is backing the story. He claims that the info came from a high positioned man in Portland's front office.
O.J. Mayo averages over 12 points since his arrival from Memphis, as teams 6th man.

After a great fight Bulls emerged victorious. This loss was expected as Chicago are a top team, 2nd in league and we were still tired from the previous road trip that ended with this game played on Dec 20th.
Blazers shot a terrible 30% throughout the game and saw a game low 12% through the 3rd quarter. Best player was LaMarcus Aldridge with 19 point but on a subpar shooting, 9-19. Bulls best was Derrick Rose with 21 points on 21 shots taken.
Let's hope that the Philadelphia storm of the century ends sometime today so we fly in and play our game(s).

It has been 4-5 days since last #RoseCity update, so it's time to do some recapping of things happened between then and now.
#Games
LMA on his way to become an All-Star
From last update
Then followed: W vs Wizards - a game that ended in signature #CPUnotLosingMode when they forced everything and came back from dead, just to have Mayo hit a 1.8sec left gamewinner.
W vs Wolves - in what was a terrible game 'cos of Minnesota's inability to call a play or do anything other than set up for a Beasley post auto-basket fadeway. They got burned with their own weapons.
L vs Clippers - a loss to a top team in a game that saw low shooting percentages on both sides. However a highly entertaining game.
@CPU_Blazers took over after that game for the next two games. SIM L vs Heat
SIM W vs Knicks
@CPU_Blazers were relieved of their duties after those 2 games.
Before the next games, forward LaMarcus Aldridge tweeted following:
W over Cavs - Cleveland opened the game 23-6, before we came back and took the lead 26-25 in a great 2nd Q run.
W over Bobcats - another game where CPU went into #CPUnotLosingMode and came back from -12 to tied game within 2-3 minutes late in 4th. LaMarcus Aldridge who was 0-12 from field in 1st half scored 12 points in 4th to beat the Bobcats.
SIM W vs Kings
Which brings us to current state of #RoseCity
#ExtensionTalks
While there was no further progress in OJ Mayo talks as of yesterday night, there was a rumble in Marcus Camby case:
#crax
Even though Blazers seem to be on a high, the late last night news that fellow Craxers user has stepped down and resigned from this league broke our hearts. Lets all come together and hope that this is just a temporary thing and that Crax will come back in a day or two. In meantime, our prayers are with Sixers organization and we dedicate the thread song to the greatness goldielox69 is.

It looks like that Blazers are destined for the 8th playoff spot. They were 8th a week ago, and even though they are on a 9-3 run they are still 8th. However the bad seeding doesn't tell the full picture as Portland is playing really well in recent days. Forward LaMarcus Aldridge pointed that out last night on Twitter:
Blazers managed to get another 2 wins, and came 1.5 seconds close to take the 3rd game as well. L 55-56 - in what was a great game... for Clipper fans... all three of them. There were 4 lead changes in last :60 including a 5.5sec LMA bucket to go up by1, followed by a 1.5sec CP3 layup, and a desperation halfcourt shot missed by Matthews.
W 57-47 - a low scoring game through first 3Q's before Portland managed to get on a roll and separate themselves at start of 4th. Nightly notable: LaMarcus Aldridge with 33 points on 22 shots taken.
simW 70-49 - "gg"
#CraxIsBack
In what seemed to be a pointless quitting in first place, crax has returned 24 hours later to prove how ridiculous his quitting was. Now we have to deal with some random Leroy-like PSN instead of the legendary goldielox69. Nevertheless, this requires a new song to celebrate the return as we "found our love" again.

Aldridge had 17 in sim game, that was a nice surprise. Slowly the chemistry came to like 87%, a nice upgrade from 51% start.

It isn't that challenging to play 3-4 vs a CPU team. I could barely last the 3 games we played when I jumped into crowd last game. It gets dull IMO.

I agree that it gets dull but part of that is because we insist on playing long games. 5-6 minute quarters is plenty on team up whether you're playing humans or cpu.
Crews were 5 min qtrs and it was perfect. Much better than going to 21 like on ALR.
Aldridge paving his way to All Star selection with 24, 31 & 33 pt games yesterday.
simW 63-54
W 72-65 - a tough win against a team that doesn't suit us matchup wise. Tyrus Thomas seems to mess up LMA's game every time they meet.
L 59-62 - a shocking finish to a game, where Hornets went cheap through last 5 mins. More info below.
W 60-53 - tremendous defensive game, with Indiana forced to plenty of bad shots, and held without a point for the first 5 minutes of 4th.
Tenths of a second
With 10 seconds to go we were down by 4 vs. Hornets, Mayo hit a quick long 2 off inbound, and Kaman was sent to line with 6.5 to go, POR down 2. He made the first shot, but missed second. Batum rebounds, pass to Mayo who dribbled over the court and shot and hit a 3 to send the game to OT, a shot which seemed "good" initially, but the referees reversed the decision after video analysis.
Impossible to tell. Maybe a "no basket", but these 2 shots were taken within .1 between them. #ISBArigged

That one should be good like Fisher's against San Antonio in 2004... #ISBArigged
Nightly notable: LaMarcus Aldridge with 42 pts (19-24fg, 4-4ft), 3 reb, 2bl, 1 stl vs HOU
@CPU_Blazers were busy over last 24h with 2 sim games played: a win over Kings and a loss against Grizzlies. Blazers also beat Rockets in Houston 76-57. Unfortunately due to nba2k.com being a complete joke and not loading anymore there are no further details available at this moment.
Portland is tied 6th with 24-15 record in West.
LaMarcus Aldridge selected as All Star reserve
LMA will make his ASG debut this year in Orlando.
Power forward LaMarcus Aldridge was chosen by coaches as one of the seven Western Conference reserves for this years All Star game which takes place in Orlando, FL next Sunday. Aldridge is having one of the best seasons of his career as he averages 20 points, 5 rebounds and shoots over 55% in 39 games for Blazers (24-15) this season. This will be his first appearance.
Here are some of the reactions around the league, including LMA's "thank you" tweet. (notice how Paul Allen doesn't know how to spell Aldridge)
